If you are seeing this, I think it is safe to assume that you want to find out more about Kanapa Soothing Eye Contour Cream, and whether or not it can actually help to maintain or improve eye beauty. Let me just warn you, my opinion may be a little bit biased because I personally love this eye cream. Nonetheless, I will do my best to discuss this product in a way which is honest, factual, and unbiased.
First up, I need to point out that I am not a dermatologist, and neither am I some sort of skin care professional. I am just a regular person who, like millions of others, is concerned about the signs of aging. I am not obsessed about avoiding lines and wrinkles, but that doesn’t mean I am going to welcome them with open arms.
Nutrition and Physical Fitness
I am sure most of us already know that proper nutrition and fitness can go a long way in helping to slow down the aging process. I do try to maintain a healthy lifestyle but there is plenty of room for improvement, so I cannot lecture anyone about this. If you really want to know more about the relationship between nutrition and aging, you can visit the US National Library of Medicine and see what the experts have to say.
I will say, lifestyle plays a much bigger role than many people imagine. As I have said, I am not one to be preaching about this. I am only going to make two recommendations. Make sure you stay well hydrated, and make sure you get an adequate amount of sleep. If you always seem to have tired looking eyes, try these two recommendations. You may be surprised by what a difference they can make. Okay, let’s get on with the review.
KanapaTM Soothing Eye Contour Cream
KanapaTM Soothing Eye Contour Cream is a skin care product manufactured by Xtendlife, a New Zealand based company. When the company originally opened in 2000 its primary goal was to produce a range of premium quality bioavailable dietary supplements. The company later expanded into the skin care market and started manufacturing a range of scientifically formulated “all-natural” skin care products.
As with all Xtendlife skin care products, their Kanapa Soothing Eye Contour Cream has been designed to slow down and reduce signs of aging. However, their eye contour cream has been specifically formulated with eye beauty in mind. In other words, it has been specifically designed for use on the delicate skin around one’s eyes.
You will more or less find the same ingredients in all the company’s KanapaTM skin care products, but the actual concentrations vary from one product to the next.
Lines, Wrinkles and Dry Skin around the Eyes
If you are looking for some sort of miracle eye beauty product, this is not the right product for you. It is not going to suddenly make you look 10 or 15 years younger overnight. In fact, I doubt if it could do that even after a year or two of regular daily use. On the other hand, I had a persistent problem with dry skin around my eyes, and this eye contour cream proved to be a real gem. Let us just say, my dry skin problem is now only a memory.
Of course, lines and wrinkles are not the same as dry skin. Dry skin can lead to lines and wrinkles, and make them worse, but lines and wrinkles are a lot more stubborn than dry skin. So, can KanapaTM Soothing Eye Contour Cream actually get rid of lines and wrinkles around your eyes? Can they be totally eradicated with the help of this eye cream?
My answer would have to be No, they cannot be totally eradicated. If there was such a product on the market, a lot of cosmetic surgeons would not be as wealthy as they are. After all, if you could get rid of wrinkles just by using a topical cream, there would be no need to facelifts, laser treatments and etc.
Can this cream at least reduce the appearance and/or severity of your lines or wrinkles? I am so tempted to say yes, because I have been very impressed with the results I have had. However, I cannot guarantee anything because everyone has different skin. One person might use this cream and get remarkable results, while other people might use the cream and see only minor results.
The only way to find out if this cream can help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles is by actually trying it. According to the manufacturer, you should start seeing results after about 4 weeks of regular use. I personally think that this might be a touch optimistic. If it were up to me, I would be a bit more cautious and say 6 to 8 weeks of regular use.
How Should Soothing Eye Contour Cream Be Used?
According to the directions, the cream should be applied twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening shortly before going to bed. Your skin should be clean and dry before you apply the cream, and if you are only going to apply it once a day, then it is recommended that you apply it in the evening rather than in the morning.
Do not worry about it leaving any marks or stains on your pillows. It gets absorbed into the skin very easily and very quickly, and it leaves absolutely no trace of greasiness. Remember, the skin around our eyes is very delicate, so rather than rubbing the cream into your skin, you should use more of a patting movement with the tip of a finger.
If you are only using the cream in an effort to treat crow’s feet, then you only really need to apply it on the relevant areas. If, on the other hand, you also want to try and reduce eye bags or dark circles around your eyes, then the cream should also be applied to under eye skin and to the area above the upper eyelids.
KanapaTM Eye Contour Cream as an After-Treatment
When Xtendlife decided to call this cream a “soothing” eye contour cream, they had good reason to. It really does have a wonderful soothing effect which you notice almost instantly after each application. I would definitely recommend using this cream if you have recently had an eye beauty procedure done, such as laser skin resurfacing or a chemical peel.
Laser treatments, chemical peels and dermabrasion treatments all work by removing layers of skin. As a result, treated areas need to be well taken care of, and I believe that KanapaTM Soothing Eye Contour Cream would be a really good choice. It is mild and gentle on your skin, and of course, it only contains natural ingredients.
If you have been for one of the above mentioned treatments very recently, then I would recommend talking to your dermatologist before you start using this cream on newly treated areas. The same goes for any other type of cream or lotion.
Clinically Proven Skin Care
Quite often when I have told people about this eye contour cream, I get asked what makes this cream better than any other eye beauty cream. Well, to begin with, I know that Xtendlife takes things like purity and quality very seriously. Their products only contain natural ingredients, and those ingredients are also organic.
Their products are all produced and tested in their own FDA approved facility which is subject to rigorous quality control procedures. Above all, the efficacy of the company’s KanapaTM blend of ingredients has been clinically proven. If you want to, you can view the results of an independent clinical trial here.
In addition to containing the company’s KanapaTM blend of ingredients, their soothing eye contour cream also contains EyelissTM which is manufactured in France by a company called Sederma. By the way, EyelissTM also only contains 100% natural ingredients. Even when used on its own, EyelissTM was shown to reduce puffiness and dark eye circles, as well as boost elasticity.
It seems like Xtendlife did not want to take any chances with their KanapaTM Soothing Eye Contour Cream because they have also added BeautifeyeTM which is another clinically proven blend of natural ingredients. BeautifeyeTM is likewise manufactured in France by Sederma. In 2013, BeautifeyeTM won the Best New Ingredient award at the Cosmetics & Toiletries R&D Awards.
Not a Sunscreen
I realize that for most people, it would be very obvious that this eye contour cream is an eye beauty cream and not a sunscreen lotion. However, I just feel that I should point out that it doesn’t have any UVA and/or UVB filtering capabilities. It won’t even provide a tiny bit of sun protection.
The best way to protect the delicate skin around your eyes from the sun is by wearing suitable sunglasses and/or a suitable hat. If you really must use a sunscreen, then look for an all-natural zinc oxide-based one. Alternatively, you could also make your own, and I can assure you that it is a lot easier than you might imagine. In fact, I even provided a super easy to follow recipe and instructions in an earlier article I wrote about skin rejuvenation.
Online Availability Only
Like all Xtendlife products, you won’t find Kanapa Soothing Eye Contour Cream in your local high street stores. It can only be ordered online, but since online shopping has become so immensely popular, this is really not a problem. As a general rule, the company provides free shipping for orders over $60, so basically, you can order virtually any two or three products and you won’t have to pay for shipping.
Robust Guarantee and Refund Policy
If or when you decide to order some of this eye contour cream, your purchase is covered by a full 365-day guarantee. Yes, you read that correctly, all Xtendlife products come with a one year guarantee. If for any reason you are not happy with the product you have ordered, you have one year during which you can return the product for a refund.
I should just add that if you order two or more products at the same time, the company will only issue a refund for one opened product. In other words, if you order two tubes of eye contour cream and you open both of them before deciding you want a refund, you will only be refunded for one of them.
Time for the Pros and Cons
I think I have more or less already described what I perceive to be the biggest and most important pros regarding this particular eye beauty cream, but let’s take another quick look at the main pros and cons:
PROS:
- It is manufactured in a legitimate FDA-Approved facility by a company with tons of credentials.
- No testing is done on animals.
- The efficacy of the main blend of ingredients has been clinically proven.
- It is intensely moisturizing and very soothing.
- It gets absorbed into the skin very quickly and leaves no greasy residue.
- People who are contemplating ordering this eye contour cream for the first time will no doubt feel a bit more confident knowing that they have plenty of time to claim a refund if they end up feeling disappointed with the product.
CONS:
- KanapaTM Soothing Eye Contour Cream is not expensive, but it may cost more than what some people can afford to spend on an eye cream.
- I personally can’t see it being very effective on deep wrinkles.
- It doesn’t offer any level of sun protection.
So, would I recommend using KanapaTM Soothing Eye Contour Cream for treating fine lines, dry skin, puffy eye bags and/or dark eye circles? Yes I would recommend it but I obviously can’t guarantee anything. I also can’t guarantee that this is the best eye cream in the world because I haven’t tried every other cream in the world.
Just recently, I was asked if I think this is the best eye cream for 20s. Good on her for wanting to start a good skin care regimen at such a young age, but I couldn’t really answer her question because I don’t know if it is the best cream or not. I am very happy with the results I have had, and I have read lots of positive reviews from other people who have been very happy with this eye cream.
Anyway, I hope you have enjoyed reading this post, and if you decide to try this product, I hope you get to enjoy the same great results that I have had.
